Computer running Windows.
1. Turn the Switch completely off (not sleep mode or standby). You can do this by holding the power button until a menu pops up. Select "Power Options" and then select "Turn Off".
Once the Switch is completely off, take the Jig and slide it down the right side of the Switch. Make sure the 2 pins on the Jig slide all the way down into the Switch (as pictured below)
2. Open the TegraRcmGUI software on your computer. (If you have not downloaded this yet, scroll back to the top and do so). When the program opens, click the settings tab. Then click to install the Switch Drivers. (Shown Below).
After going through the prompts and completing the driver install, click back to the Payloads tab. Click the folder and Magnifying glass icon and then click on the hekate_ctcaer_5.5.8 file that was included with the Tegra RCM app.
3. Move back to your Switch and plug in a USB cable to the system (any USB C cable will work, I use the one for my phone). DO NOT plug the other side of the cable into your computer just yet.
4. With the Jig in the right joycon slot, hold the Switch Power and Volume Up button at the same time for 3 seconds then release both buttons. If you did this correctly, nothing will be on the screen (nothing will happen visually on screen).
If you see the Nintendo Logo then something went wrong and you need to turn off the system and try again.

5. Plug the USB cable connected to the Switch into your Computer. If everything was done correctly, the Switch Icon will turn green. Click the “Inject payload” button and watch your Nintendo Switch Display come to life.
6. Click the launch button on the left of the Switch Screen and then click “CFW (emuMMC)”
Nice work! You are in Custom Firmware and can enjoy the limitless possibilities!
